- President Draupadi Murmu has approved 107 gallantry awards to the personnel of Armed Forces & Central Armed Police Forces on the occasion of Independence Day 2022.
- These include 3 Kirti Chakras, 13 Shaurya Chakras, two bar to Sena Medals (Gallantry), 81 Sena Medals (Gallantry), 1 Nau Sena Medal (Gallantry) and 7 Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry).
- President Draupadi Murmu has also approved 40 Mention-in-Dispatches to the Army, one to Air Force personnel and the other to Army Dog – Axel (posthumously) for his significant contribution in various military operations.
- These include Operation Rakshak, Operation Snow Leopard, Operation Rhino, Operation Orchid, Operation Falcon, Operation Hifazat & Operation Trikut (Deoghar).
