- The President Smt. Draupadi Murmu presented the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, 2023 to 11 children at an award ceremony held in New Delhi on 23rd January 2023.
- The awardees include 6 boys and 5 girls, belonging to 11 States and UTs.
- The Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given to children in the age group of 5 to 18 years for their excellence in six categories – art and culture, bravery, innovation, scholastic, social service and sports.
- The Government of India presents the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, 2023 to children for their exceptional achievements in six categories of innovation, social service, academics, sports, art and culture and bravery. Each awardee receives a medallion, a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and a certificate.
