Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal created history by winning the men’s singles title of the Australian Open 2022 on 30 January 2022.
He defeated Russian player Daniil Medvedev 2-6, 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-4, 7-5 in the title match.
This was Nadal’s 29th Grand Slam final. He has won the Australian Open title for the second time. Prior to this, he became the champion in the tournament for the first time in 2009.
Rafael Nadal has become the first male player in the world to win 21 Grand Slam titles.
