- Olympic silver medalist Mirabai Chanu won the silver medal at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships in Colombia on 7th December.
- She defeated Tokyo 2020 champion Hou Zhihua of China.
- Mirabai lifted a combined total of 200 kg compared to Zihua’s total of 198 kg.
- This was Mirabai’s second medal at the World Championships, before which she won gold in 2017 by lifting 194 kg.
