Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit : New vice-chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University

• Santishree Dhulipudi Pandit, a professor of Political Science at Savitribai Phule Pune University has been appointed as new vice-chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
• She succeeds Mr. Jagadesh Kumar who recently became chairman of the University Grants Commission.
• Her appointment order was issued on 4 Feb and is valid for a period of 5 years.
• An alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) from where she completed her MPhil & PhD in International Relations in 1986 & 1990.
