SCO Summit 2022 : PM Modi held bilateral meetings with the Presidents of Russia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Turkey.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met leaders of Russia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Turkey on the sidelines of the 22nd meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the Uzbekistan city of Samarkand. Discussions were held to deepen bilateral cooperation in various fields.

  • During the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, PM Narendra Modi raised the issues of food, fuel and fertilizer crisis saying that concrete solutions should be found to deal with these challenges.
  • During the India-Uzbekistan bilateral meeting, PM Narendra Modi and President of Uzbekistan Shaukat Mirziyoyev discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in various areas, including economic cooperation, trade and connectivity.
  • During the meeting with Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, the two leaders discussed comprehensive bilateral ties and reviewed progress in the development of Chabahar Port.
  • During the meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the two leaders discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in diverse fields and reviewed bilateral ties and exchanged views on regional and global developments.
