Shri Rajesh Malhotra took over as Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau.

Shri Rajesh Malhotra has assumed charge as the Principal Director General of Press Information Bureau (PIB) on 1st March. Mr. Malhotra takes over after the retirement of Mr. Satyendra Prakash.
Shri Rajesh Malhotra, a 1989 batch Indian Information Service (IIS) officer, was earlier working in the Ministry of Finance since January 2018.
Shri Malhotra has over 32 years of experience in planning and implementing media and communication strategies for various Ministries/Departments of the Central Government including Finance, Corporate Affairs, Agriculture, Power, Coal, Mines, Communications and IT, Textiles, Labour, New and Renewable Energy Has years of experience.
In addition, he was associated with the Election Commission of India as in-charge of media and communications for 21 years (1996–2017).
Mr. Malhotra holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from IMT, Ghaziabad and a Post Graduate Diploma in Media Law from Nalsar, Hyderabad.
