SpaceX Launched First 54 Starlink v2.0 satellites Into Low Earth orbit.

  • SpaceX launched the first 54 Starlink Satellites of the new generation into orbit on 28 December 2022 and nailed a rocket landing at sea to mark a record 60th flight of the year.
  • The launch took place from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, USA.
  • SpaceX’s new satellites are important because they are more powerful than first generation models. It is being said that they can control more internet traffic and can deliver satellite internet service directly to people’s smartphones.
  • These satellites are also being called ‘Gen 2’. SpaceX has received approval from the US government to launch 7,500 such units.
