Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati passes away at the age 99.

Dwarka-Sharda Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati died on 11th September in Narsinghpur, Madhya Pradesh.
He was 99 years old. He breathed his last at Shridham Jhoteshwar Ashram in Narsinghpur. The funeral took place on 12 September.
Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati was born in 1924 in Dighori village of Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh.
He was at the forefront of the anti-Congress movement in the 1950s. He served as the president of the Rama Rajya Parishad. He was also imprisoned three times between 1954 and 1970 in connection with the movement to ban cow slaughter.
