The inaugural edition of India-Egypt joint training exercise Cyclone-I began in Rajasthan.

“Exercise Cyclone-I” between the armies of India and Egypt is underway from 14 January 2023 at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
This military exercise will last for 14 days and it is being conducted in the deserts of Rajasthan.
This military exercise is the first ever joint exercise between the armies of the two countries. Its goal is to promote defense cooperation between the two countries.
The advanced special forces of both countries will share skills such as sniping, combat-free fall, reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and exchange of information on weapons, equipment, innovations, techniques, strategies and procedures.
Participating personnel will also practice joint planning, battlefield combat, surgical strikes on terrorist hideouts/camps and sniper-shooting at large targets.
