UK, France, UAE extend support for India’s permanent membership at UNSC.

The UK, France and the UAE have extended their support for India’s permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
India is holding the presidency of the United Nations Security Council for the month of December 2022.
The United Arab Emirates also reiterated its endorsement of India’s bid for permanent membership of a reformed security council.
The United Nations Security Council is the principal global body for maintaining international peace and security. The Security Council, the principal crisis-management body of the United Nations, is empowered to impose binding obligations on the 193 member states of the United Nations to maintain the peace.
