US appoints Elizabeth Jones to serve as Chargé d’Affaires at US Embassy in New Delhi

The United States has appointed Elizabeth Jones to serve as the char d’affaires in New Delhi on 24th October.
Jones most recently served as the coordinator of Afghan resettlement efforts.
She previously served as Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, Assistant Secretary of State for the Near East, and Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
In India, she will join US embassy and consulate teams in advancing and expanding the partnership between governments and peoples, a partnership that Secretary Blinken called the most consequential in the world.
