Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar – 2019, 2020 & 2021 were presented to 102 artists from India.

  • Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development of North Eastern Region Shri G. Kishan Reddy presented the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (UBKYP) – 2019, 2020 and 2021 at Meghdoot Theater Complex, Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi on 15 February.
  • The program was presided over by Dr. Sandhya Purecha, President of Sangeet Natak Akademi.
  • In its General Council meeting held at New Delhi on 8th November, 2022, 102 artistes (including three joint awardees) from India were selected for the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar – 2019, 2020 and 2021, who have distinguished themselves as young talents. They have made their mark in their respective fields of performing arts.
  • A four-day festival of music, dance and drama was organized from 14 to 17 February 2023 at Meghdoot Theater Complex, Rabindra Bhavan, New Delhi. In this, the recipients of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Youth Award for the year 2019 displayed their arts.

Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar (UBKYP) :

The Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar was instituted in the year 2006. It is awarded to artistes up to the age of 40 years. Its objective is to identify and encourage outstanding young talents in various fields of performing arts and to provide them national recognition in their life, so that they can work with greater commitment and dedication in their chosen fields. The Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar carries Rs 25,000, an Angavastram and a plaque.
