- Uttar Pradesh will celebrate its 74th Foundation Day on 24 January 2023.
- Officials said on 21st January that the three-day celebrations of ‘Uttar Pradesh Day’ would include public participation this time with a focus on investment and employment.
- He said that the statewide program would be organized from 24 to 26 January.
- The Foundation Day of Uttar Pradesh is being celebrated for three days since 2018 with the participation of all government departments on 24 January.

History of the Day :
On 24 January 1950, the Governor General of India passed the United Provinces Order, 1950 (Alteration of Name), according to which the name of the United Provinces was changed to Uttar Pradesh. The state has seen various changes over the years and has attained its present geographical form after the hilly region of Uttarakhand was carved out of undivided Uttar Pradesh on 9th November, 2000.
