Uttarakhand tableau wins first prize 74th Republic Day parade.

  • Uttarakhand’s tableau showcasing the state’s wildlife and religious places has won the top prize at the 74th Republic Day parade.
  • The tableau of Uttarakhand depicts the wildlife and religious places of the state during the ceremonial parade on the duty path on 26 January.
  • Stags, deer and various birds were shown roaming in the world famous Corbett National Park in the foreground of the tableau.
  • The central part of the tableau depicts the state animal of Uttarakhand, the musk deer, the national bird peacock and the ghoral. In the rear part of the tableau, Jageshwar Dham, a group of 125 small and big ancient temples of Almora district of Manaskhand, and the popular Deodar trees have been shown.
  • Uttarakhand won the first prize for its tableau, followed by Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh at the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
