World Hindi Day is celebrated every year on 10 January to promote awareness of the language across the world. It is also the day when Hindi, the national language of India, was spoken for the first time in the United Nations General Assembly. On this day in 1975, the first World Hindi Conference was organized in Nagpur. Since then, such conferences are held every year in different parts of the world.

History :
Every year on 10 January, World Hindi Day is celebrated all over the world. For the first time, the World Hindi Conference was organized in Nagpur on 10 January 1975, in which 122 delegates from 30 countries participated. After that, World Hindi Conference was also organized outside India in countries like Mauritius, United Kingdom, Trinidad, America etc.
