World Intellectual Property Day is celebrated on every year is 26th April to learn about the role that intellectual property (IP) rights play in encouraging innovation and creativity. This day is recognizes the huge potential of young people to find new and better solutions that support the transition to a sustainable future.

26 April was chosen to celebrate World Intellectual Property Day as it coincides with the date when the convention establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization came into effect in 1970.


CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research organized a National Workshop on (26 April) World Intellectual Property Day for school students and innovators. During the function, Prof. Ranjana Aggarwal, Director & CSIR-NISCPR welcomed the gathering.
Prof. Ranjana Aggarwal highlighted various aspects of Intellectual Property, Patents & communication, emphasizing the importance of innovations and the necessity of a platform to bring the students and the experts at one place.
