World Tourism Day 2022 : 27th September

World Tourism Day 2022 is celebrated globally on 27th September. This day is celebrated every year to focus on promoting tourism in different parts of the world. It was initiated by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) started World Tourism Day in 1979. The ceremony for the same officially started in 1980. It is celebrated every year on 27 September as this date marks the anniversary of the adoption of UNWTO statutes.
