The World Wildlife Day is observed each year on 3rd March to raise awareness about the world’s wild fauna & flora.
On 20 December 2013, at its 68th session, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), decided to proclaim 3rd March, the international day of the adoption of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna & Flora (CITES) on the planet raise awareness & benefits fauna & flora in 1973, as World Wildlife Day. The commemoration was proposed by Thailand to celebrate & raise awareness of the world’s wild fauna & flora.

Themes :
World Wildlife Day 2022 under the theme “Recovering key species for ecosystem restoration”, as a way to draw attention to the conservation status of some of the most critically endangered species of wild fauna & flora, to drive discussions towards imagining & implementing solutions to conserve them.
