On 26 July 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the formation of a high-powered task force on examination reforms to restore credibility, transparency, and technological robustness in India’s examination system. The committee has been constituted in the wake of the NEET-UG paper leak controversy and aims to revamp the National Testing Agency (NTA) by introducing leak-proof, technology-driven examination processes and recommending long-term structural and legal reforms.
