केंद्र सरकार ने 11 मई 2026 को विकसित भारत – गारंटी फॉर रोजगार एंड आजीविका मिशन (ग्रामीण) अधिनियम, 2025 [VB-G RAM G] के कार्यान्वयन को अधिसूचित किया। यह नया अधिनियम 20 वर्ष पुराने महात्मा गांधी राष्ट्रीय ग्रामीण रोजगार गारंटी अधिनियम (मनरेगा), 2005 का स्थान लेता है। इसके तहत ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में गारंटीकृत मजदूरी रोजगार को 100 दिनों से बढ़ाकर 125 दिन प्रति वित्तीय वर्ष कर दिया गया है।
The Central Government notified the implementation of the Viksit Bharat – Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025 [VB-G RAM G] on 11 May 2026. The new Act replaces the 20-year-old Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), 2005. The guaranteed wage employment in rural areas has been increased from 100 days to 125 days per financial year.
