The Index of Services Production (ISP) is a new monthly macroeconomic indicator launched by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation. It measures short-term changes in the performance of India’s services sector, such as trade, transport, communication, finance, and other services. It is considered the services-sector counterpart of the Index of Industrial Production (IIP).
