World Hepatitis Day is observed every year on 28 July to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Baruch Blumberg, who discovered the Hepatitis B virus and developed its vaccine. He was awarded the 1976 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his pioneering work.
विश्व हेपेटाइटिस दिवस प्रत्येक वर्ष 28 जुलाई को डॉ. बारुख ब्लमबर्ग की जयंती के अवसर पर मनाया जाता है। उन्होंने हेपेटाइटिस-बी वायरस की खोज की और इसका टीका (Vaccine) विकसित किया। उनके इस महत्वपूर्ण योगदान के लिए उन्हें 1976 का नोबेल पुरस्कार (चिकित्सा/शरीर विज्ञान) प्रदान किया गया।
