The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), in collaboration with the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the National Informatics Centre (NIC), conducted a Proof of Concept (PoC) for Aadhaar-based face authentication during NEET (UG) 2025 in New Delhi on May 5, 2025. The initiative aimed to test the feasibility, security, and effectiveness of face authentication for verifying candidate identities at examination centers.
This biometric technology was integrated into select NEET centres and demonstrated the potential to enhance exam security, curb impersonation, and offer a student-friendly verification method for large-scale national tests.
