The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet on 25 August 2026 approved the purchase of 25 lakh tablets for free distribution to eligible youth under the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana.

- Scheme duration: 5 years
- Beneficiaries: Eligible youth pursuing higher education, diploma, skill development and other training programmes.
- Purpose: Provide access to digital education, training, employment and self-employment opportunities.
- The scheme aims to technologically empower youth and improve their employability skills.
- The decision was taken under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
