Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025 Comes into Effect to Ensure Transparent Property Management

The Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025 officially came into force on April 8, 2025, following President Droupadi Murmu’s assent. The legislation had been passed by both Houses of Parliament the previous week.

The amended law focuses on:
