Champat Rai and Anil Mishra Resign from Ram Mandir Trust Amid Donation Probe

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has confirmed the resignation of its General Secretary Champat Rai and Trustee Anil Mishra amid an investigation into alleged irregularities in donations received at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The resignations, submitted on 26–27 June 2026, are intended to ensure a fair investigation.

The Uttar Pradesh Government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT), and an FIR has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). So far, eight people, including staff involved in counting donations, have been arrested.
