PM Narendra Modi Receives Seychelles’ Highest Civilian Honour ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred ‘Guardian of the Blue Horizon’, the highest national honour of Seychelles, by President Patrick Herminie on 28 June 2026 during his three-day State Visit. The award recognises PM Modi’s leadership in environmental conservation, climate action, sustainable development, and his efforts to strengthen cooperation in the Indian Ocean Region.

The visit coincided with the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between India and Seychelles and the Golden Jubilee of Seychelles’ National Day, highlighting the growing strategic partnership between the two countries.
