India finished first in the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 held in Germany, topping the medal standings with 24 medals – 7 gold, 8 silver, and 9 bronze. India outperformed the Individual Neutral Athletes (14 medals, 6 gold) and Italy (10 medals, 6 gold).
India’s campaign began with Sejal Kamble winning gold in the women’s 10m air pistol, while Himanshi secured bronze. India added several more gold medals through Sameer (men’s 25m rapid-fire pistol), Rohit Kanyan (men’s 50m rifle 3 positions), Pritam Kendre (men’s 10m air rifle), and team events. The contingent also earned multiple silver and bronze medals in individual, team, and mixed team competitions.
With this outstanding performance, India emerged as the overall champion of the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026.
