The Union Cabinet on 20 August 2026 approved the establishment of a new Bench of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in Ladakh, making it the third seat of the High Court after Srinagar and Jammu. 20 अगस्त 2026 को केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल ने लद्दाख में जम्मू-कश्मीर और लद्दाख उच्च न्यायालय की नई पीठ स्थापित करने को मंजूरी दी। इसके साथ ही श्रीनगर और जम्मू के बाद यह उच्च न्यायालय की तीसरी पीठ होगी।
