Who has been appointed as the new Secretary, Department of Higher Education, in the administrative reshuffle approved in July 2026?

In the administrative reshuffle approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) in July 2026, Vineet Joshi, a 1992-batch IAS officer of the Manipur cadre, was appointed as the Secretary, Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education. He succeeded Sunil Kumar Barnwal. Vineet Joshi has previously served as the Chairman of CBSE and Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA).
जुलाई 2026 में मंत्रिमंडल की नियुक्ति समिति (ACC) द्वारा स्वीकृत प्रशासनिक फेरबदल में 1992 बैच के मणिपुर कैडर के IAS अधिकारी विनीत जोशी को शिक्षा मंत्रालय के उच्च शिक्षा विभाग (Department of Higher Education) का सचिव नियुक्त किया गया। उन्होंने सुनील कुमार बर्नवाल का स्थान लिया। विनीत जोशी इससे पहले CBSE के अध्यक्ष तथा राष्ट्रीय परीक्षण एजेंसी (NTA) के महानिदेशक के रूप में भी कार्य कर चुके हैं।
