The sea phase of the 12th Sri Lanka-India Naval Exercise (SLINEX-25) is underway in western waters off Colombo.
Indian Navy ships INS Jyoti (fleet tanker) and INS Rana (destroyer) are participating along with Sri Lanka Navy ships SLNS Vijayabahu and SLNS Sayura.
Drills include VBSS operations, gunnery, screening, vertical replenishment, flashing, and fuelling approaches.
The harbour phase (14–16 Aug 2025, Colombo Port) featured joint briefings, helicopter training, professional exchanges, sports, yoga, and ship visits for schoolchildren.
