- Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav launched a mobile application named Meri Life (My Life) in New Delhi on 15th May.
- The app is inspired by the concept of LiFE envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at COP 26, which emphasizes on conscious and deliberate usage rather than mindless and wasteful consumption.
- Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) was launched by the Prime Minister in Kevadia, Gujarat in October 2022 and focuses on bringing behavioral change in individuals through simple easy actions.
- To further catalyze pan-India support and awareness about LiFE, a month-long mass mobilization campaign is currently underway. The campaign will culminate in a massive celebration of World Environment Day on 5 June 2023.
