- On 8th May 2023, In Rajasthan, three women were killed and three others were injured after an Air Force MiG-21 fighter jet crashed at their home in a village in Hanumangarh district.
- The aircraft had taken off from the Suratgarh airbase for a routine exercise before it crashed due to some technical glitch in Bahalol Nagar village near Pilibanga area.
- The pilot ejected safely from the aircraft and is safe. The Air Force said a helicopter was dispatched to rescue the pilot who sustained minor injuries during ejection.
- An inquiry has been ordered to find out the cause of the accident.
