President Smt. Draupadi Murmu, who is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, presented eight Kirti Chakras including five posthumously and 29 Shaurya Chakras including five posthumously to Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces and State/UT personnel. Gallantry Awards were presented to police personnel for conspicuous gallantry, indomitable courage and utmost devotion to duty during the Defense Investiture Ceremony (Phase-I) in New Delhi on 9th May 2023.
