At the 2025 FIDE World Rapid & Women’s World Rapid Chess Championships held in Doha, Qatar, on 28 December 2025, India secured two bronze medals. Arjun Erigaisi won bronze in the men’s section, finishing third with 9.5 points, while Koneru Humpy secured bronze in the women’s section, adding to her previous rapid chess gold titles from 2019 and 2024.
Magnus Carlsen won the men’s title with 10.5 points, claiming his sixth World Rapid Chess Championship, and Alexandra Goryachkina won the women’s title.
