- The new generation ballistic missile Agni Prime was successfully test fired by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
- The missile was test-fired on 7th June from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Island off the coast of Odisha.
- All the objectives were successfully performed during the flight test and this was the first pre-induction night launch by the users after three successful developmental trials of the missile. Its range is up to two thousand kilometers.
