India Successfully Test-Fires Agni-5 IRBM with MIRV Capability

On 20 August 2025, India successfully test-fired the Agni-5 Intermediate Range Ballistic Missile (IRBM) from the Integrated Test Range (Chandipur, Odisha).

  • Technology: Equipped with MIRV (Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle) capability, enabling deployment of multiple warheads.
  • Range: Over 5,000 km, covering Asia, parts of Europe, and beyond.
