On 25 February 2026, the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), an autonomous body under the Union Health Ministry, achieved a historic milestone by being officially recognised by Guinness World Records for hosting the most-viewed Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare lesson live stream on YouTube.
The record was achieved through a nationwide online training programme on AI in Healthcare, specially designed for registered medical practitioners across India. The initiative highlighted NBEMS’s effective use of digital platforms to deliver large-scale, technology-driven medical education.
NBEMS President Dr Abhijat Sheth described the recognition as a testament to India’s leadership in digital innovation in medical education. He reaffirmed NBEMS’s commitment to competency-based learning and to launching future initiatives aimed at improving the quality of healthcare delivery across the country.
