Indian shooter Parth Rakesh Mane secured two gold medals at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) Junior World Championship in Lima, Peru, on October 1, 2024. He won the individual gold in the 10m air rifle event with a score of 250.7, narrowly defeating China’s junior Asian champion Huang Liwanlin by 0.7 points. Parth, along with Ajay Malik and Abhinav Shaw, also clinched the gold in the men’s team event.
India’s third gold of the day came in the junior women’s 10m air rifle team event, with Gautami Bhanot, Sambhavi Kshirsagar, and Anoushka Thakur securing victory. India currently leads the medal tally with five golds.
