The closing ceremony of 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024, was held on 28 November in Panaji, Goa. Saule Biluvaite’s Toxic won the prestigious Golden Peacock Award, receiving a ₹40 lakh cash prize, a trophy, and a certificate.
Clement Faveau won Best Actor Male, while Vesta Matulyte and Leva Repuikaite shared the Best Actor Female award for their performances in Toxic.
In the Indian section, Navjot Bandiwadekar was honored as Best Debut Director for Gharat Ganpati, and Lampan received the Best Web Series OTT award. Vikrant Massey was celebrated as the Indian Film Personality of the Year.
The ceremony featured cultural performances by Mame Khan and Amaal Malik and was attended by dignitaries like Goa CM Dr. Pramod Sawant, I&B Secretary Sanjay Jaju, and Bollywood icons such as Madhur Bhandarkar, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jayaprada.
