Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 held on February 24-25 in Bhopal

The Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 was held on February 24-25 in Bhopal and aimed to showcase the state’s investment climate and industrial infrastructure. The event attracted global leaders, industrialists, and experts, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the summit and Home Minister Amit Shah attending the closing ceremony.

The summit featured the Madhya Pradesh Experience Zone and Tourism Pavilion, which impressed delegates with digital displays, interactive technology, and virtual reality experiences. Notably, Gautam Adani announced a ₹2.1 lakh crore investment blueprint for Madhya Pradesh, expected to create over 1.2 lakh jobs by 2030. German officials praised the state’s facilities for investors and its ease of doing business.

Overall, the GIS 2025 successfully positioned Madhya Pradesh as a leading destination for global investors, highlighting its commitment to industrial growth, innovation, and sustainable development.

Delhi Assembly Polls: Voting turnout nearly 60.42% turnout

Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly was held peacefully on 5 Feb 2025, with a voter turnout of 60.42%. The highest turnout was in North East Delhi (66.25%), while the lowest was in South East Delhi (56.16%). Prominent candidates included Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi, Manish Sisodia (AAP), Parvesh Verma, Vijender Gupta, Arvinder Singh Lovely, Ramesh Bidhuri (BJP), and Devendra Yadav, Sandeep Dixit, Alka Lamba (Congress). A total of 699 candidates contested the elections.

The Election Commission ensured strict security measures and seized ₹236 crore worth of illegal inducements since the announcement on 7 Jan 2025. Counting will take place on Saturday.

Additionally, bye-polls were held in Erode-East (Tamil Nadu) with 67.97% turnout and Milkipur (Uttar Pradesh) with 65.35% turnout.

Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: Voting Scheduled for 5th February

Delhi Assembly Elections Schedule: Polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held on 5th February, and counting will take place on 8th February 2025.

Notification Dates: Notification for Delhi Assembly elections will be issued on 10th January, with the last date for nominations on 17th January.

Polling Stations: 13,033 polling stations will be set up for over 1.55 crore voters in Delhi.

Chief Election Commissioner: Rajiv Kumar denied allegations of EVM tampering, assured that EVMs are foolproof, and emphasized India’s global leadership in election standards.

Model Code of Conduct: Came into effect with the announcement of the poll schedule.

Namo Bharat Train Connects Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar

Namo Bharat Train from Sahibabad RRTS Station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station inaugurated on January 5, 2025, by PM Narendra Modi. It is part of the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS. The route is 13 km long, from Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar.
