The Department of Posts has launched ‘Gyan Post’, a dedicated postal service to deliver educational, cultural, social, and religious books at affordable rates.
This initiative supports the New Education Policy (NEP) by enhancing access to printed learning materials, especially in rural and remote areas of India.
Key Features of Gyan Post:
- Minimum rate: ₹20 for packets up to 300 grams
- Maximum rate: ₹100 for packets up to 5 kilograms (taxes extra)
- Available at all post offices
- Tracking facility included for transparency and reliability
The service is designed to bridge the educational divide by promoting cost-effective distribution of knowledge resources.
