Kajal Dochak clinches gold in U-20 World Wrestling Championships

On 22 August 2025, India’s Kajal Dochak clinched gold in the 72kg category, defeating China’s Yuqi Liu 8-6. Saarika (53kg) and Shruti (50kg) earned bronze medals, while Suraj bagged bronze in the men’s Greco-Roman 60kg category.

On 21 August 2025, Reena (55kg) and Priya Malik (76kg) won silver medals after tough final losses.

India’s Medal Tally so far: 9 medals (2 Gold, 4 Silver, 3 Bronze).

This incredible milestone was achieved on 14 February 2025, during the ongoing Maha Kumbh, which started on January 13, 2025, and will continue until February 26, 2025.

    The Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers, has seen an unprecedented number of devotees taking a holy dip. This figure surpasses the combined population of many countries, including the United States and Russia. The Uttar Pradesh government has highlighted this as the largest congregation in human history for any religious, cultural, or social event.
