Hockey India announced that the Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024 will be held at Rajgir, Bihar, from 11th to 20th November 2024. This is a joint effort by Hockey India and the Bihar Government, and it will be the first international hockey tournament in the state.
Asian Hockey Federation President Dato Fumio Ogura confirmed the event, while Hockey India President Dr. Dilip Tirkey called it a historic moment.
India, the defending champions, along with China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand, are expected to participate. Last year, the tournament was held in Ranchi, where India won the title.
