India will host the first Global Cooperative Conference from 25th to 30th November in New Delhi. Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation, announced the conference during a media briefing. The conference will focus on innovative solutions, technologies, and best practices for the cooperative movement.
This is the first time in the 130-year history of the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) that the conference will be held in India. Jeroen Douglas, Director General of the ICA, noted that there are 3 million cooperatives worldwide, with India leading in terms of the highest number of cooperatives.
