At the 2024 ISSF Junior World Shooting Championship in Lima, Peru, Indian shooters delivered an outstanding performance, leading the medals tally with a total of 24 medals: 13 gold, 3 silver, and 8 bronze.
Mukesh Nelavalli was a standout, winning seven medals, including five golds. Divanshi also shone by claiming her second individual gold in the women’s 25m standard pistol event. The Indian team excelled in team events as well, with the junior men’s 50m pistol team taking gold.
India finished far ahead of Italy (13 medals) and Norway (10 medals), among 51 participating nations and over 560 shooters.
