On 16 October 2024, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by PM Modi, approved an increase in the Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for all mandated Rabi crops for the 2025-26 marketing season.
The highest MSP increase is for rapeseed and mustard at Rs 300 per quintal, followed by lentils (masur) at Rs 275 per quintal.
