India Installs 7075.78 MW Rooftop Solar Under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana; Gujarat Leads the Nation

India has successfully installed 7,075.78 MW of rooftop solar capacity under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, covering nearly 24 lakh households across the country as of December 2025.

    • Gujarat: 1,828 MW
    • Maharashtra: 1,322 MW
    • Uttar Pradesh: 1,024 MW
      Together, these three states account for nearly 60% of total capacity.
