Cricket at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics

Cricket will make a historic comeback at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, returning to the Games after 128 years. The T20 format has been approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), with matches to be held at Fairplex, Pomona, California.

The event will feature six men’s and six women’s national teams, totaling around 180 athletes from 12 nations. The women’s T20 final is scheduled for July 20, 2028, and the men’s final for July 29, 2028, during the LA28 Olympics, which run from July 14 to July 30, 2028, across 49 venues.

This marks only the second time cricket will appear in the Olympics since 1900, highlighting its growing global reach and popularity, especially in cricket-loving nations like India, Australia, England, and the Caribbean.
